Iced Caramel Chai Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (you can use almond, soy, or coconut milk for a dairy-free option)

  • 1 tbsp powdered chai tea or 1 sachet of your favorite chai tea

  • 2 teaspoons sugar (you can adjust to taste or use a sugar substitute)

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 cup ice cream

  • Caramel sauce for garnish

  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by heating your milk in a saucepan until hot but not boiling.

  2. Add chai tea powder (or tea bag) to hot milk and stir until completely dissolved. If using a tea bag, steep for 3-5 minutes then remove the bag.

  3. Add the sugar and vanilla to the chai tea mixture and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  4. Once your mixture is ready, place it in the refrigerator for a few minutes until cold.

  5. After the chai mixture has cooled, put it in a blender with the ice and blend until smooth.

  6. Prepare your drink by adding a small amount of caramel sauce to the sides.

  7. Pour your smoothie into the prepared glass, top with whipped cream (if desired) and drizzle with caramel sauce.
